The Soča valley in Slovenias North-West is a dream for any outdoor sports enthusiast. From Belgium or the Netherlands it is only a one-day drive by car and this will take you to the most beautifull mountains, enormous forests and off course the crown to it all: the mighty Soča-river, the best spot in Europe for rafting, kayaking, canyonning and many more outdoor sports.

In Slovenia, you will find a well developped tourism infrastructure with many fine campsites, hospitable family-run hotels and lots of cultural and historical sites. The roads are very good, and almost anyone speaks English.
By car, slovenia is easily reached through Austria or Italia, but if you prefer airtransport, you also can choose between the airports of Ljubljana, Triest or Venice.
